Portland 2006: Camping July '06

7/22/06 - Camping up in Washington by Mt. Adams: a fun but exasperating weekend. We had some problems finding the place due to the winding, dusty, ill marked back roads, but the real trouble was when we lost Spicy the dog. Spicy's owner was unfortunately not a member of our party, so recovering Spicy was a bit of a problem. This dog was so terrified of everything, that the second anyone got near her, she would disapear into the underbrush again. Finally, they got the owner up to the mountain, and Spicy immediately came when called (so I'm told, we'd gone home at this point)
