I should have just stayed in bed. I've been doing very poorly lately in managing to get out of bed to go work out in the mornings, but this morning I gritted my teeth and dragged myself over there. I was running late anyway (out of practice in getting there perhaps?), and had been on the treadmill for barely two minutes when an employee rushes in and says that we have to evacuate the building due to a suspected pipe bomb in the building across the parking lot. Sigh... Maybe I've just been cried wolf at too many times, but really - when was the last time that a suspected pipe bomb was anything but a random pile of electronics (or a viral marketing ploy...)? I give up, I'm just going to stop working out and change to a steady diet of cheetos.

If your job is flexible you could try working out in the afternoons. I was having that problem too. I just went to work earlier and took a 2 hour break in the afternoon for my workout and ate lunch at my desk. I found going to work easier than a workout because I could just stare at the computer for the first 15 minutes or so in the morning with my coffee as opposed to being jarred into total commitment first thing.
